Reasons to work in Quebec?

There are many, except for the cold, of course. As an immigrant in Quebec since 2018, I can say that the love-hate relationship with this land is something you don’t easily shake off. After all, having professional experience in a Canadian region so full of particularities will certainly make the challenge even greater to face. So, let me warn you right away, this is a land where only the strong survive!

And if you were thinking I was about to start this paragraph talking about the most common Canadian immigration topic, affectionately called “quality of life,” forget it.

We need to talk about things that really matter to you, like: Personal and professional growth, money, education, and a complete life experience package.

Whether you’ll take all this and put it into a life project perspective, that’s up to you, because many people arrive here, improve their resume after a few years living below zero, travel a lot, learn one or more languages (English and/or French), and move on, maybe to another province in Canada, another country, or even back to Brazil.

Talking about quality of life now, not just in Canada, but in a good part of the world, would be empty talk at this moment the world is going through, because, truth be told, living in almost all the major cities on the globe is expensive after the pandemic and wars. It’s necessary to understand that at this very moment you are reading this text, thousands of other people like you are looking for the exact same thing: that so-called quality of life.

Well, since that is not the focus of this post, I won’t drag on. Those who want to know a bit more about Quebec can find more information in the list of related posts below.

What are the Journées Québec Brésil?

The “Journées Québec Brasil” is a special event promoted by the government of the province of Quebec, Canada, aimed at attracting Brazilian candidates interested in immigrating to Quebec. The event is a unique opportunity for Brazilians who want to start an immigration process to Canada, specifically to Quebec, which has its own immigration policies and programs.

The Journées Québec Brasil offers candidates the chance to meet with representatives from the Quebec government, local employers, and other professionals who can help them understand and navigate the immigration process. During the event, candidates can participate in interviews, present their profiles, and learn more about job opportunities and the lifestyle in Quebec.

The event is a crucial step in the immigration process to Quebec, as it allows candidates to demonstrate their interest and skills directly to provincial authorities. Those who are successful at the event may receive invitations to continue the immigration process, which may include applying for a permanent residency visa, credential assessment, and other procedures.

In short, the Journées Québec Brasil is a recruitment and selection event organized by the Quebec government to attract qualified Brazilian candidates who wish to immigrate to the province, offering a direct opportunity for interaction and assessment with local authorities and employers. It’s a valuable chance for Brazilians interested in building a new life in Canada.
